JOB DESCRIPTION
Watershed Security currently has an opening for an Engineer, Computer III to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission. In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services with operational support located in Charleston SC. The successful candidate will be part of a growing team that researches, designs, develops, and tests computer systems.
Ensures smooth functioning of both physical hardware components and software programming components.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ M.S. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
+ Must have 8140 IAT/IAM III certification or IASE
+ 10 years of relevant experience
+ DoD Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligibility)
+ Work is onsite at NIWC Atlantic Charleston 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also perform the following duties:
+ Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber resilient network
+ Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
+ Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
+ Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports
+ Implements, manages, and maintains current/future Cybersecurity standards, best practices.
+ Provide engagement with external and internal resources to review, support, and monitor Incident.
+ Provide prioritization of efforts through threat informed intelligence and reporting.
+ Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.
+ Helps facilitate and prioritize interactions between CSPs and Government entities to prioritize the review of authorization packages.
+ Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
+ Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
PAY RANGE
Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $45,000 - $70,000 USD
