    Job Description

    Schedule is Sunday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with Fridays and Saturdays off. This position will be required to work holidays if it falls on regularly scheduled work days. Schedule may need to be flexible due to maintaining the efficiency of governmental operations.

    What You’ll Do

    As a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you will:

    + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and structural elements (e.g., doors, walls, ceilings).

    + Maintain grounds through mowing, landscaping, snow removal, and application of fertilizer, herbicides, and ice melt.

    + Conduct janitorial duties in common areas and supervise small client work crews on maintenance and cleaning tasks.

    + Ensure building systems (e.g., fire alarms, security cameras) are tested and functioning; maintain tools, equipment, and inventory to prevent loss.

    + Coordinate with vendors, assist with project planning, and ensure compliance with DOC, BOP, and OSHA standards.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements

    Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

    + Three years of full-time work experience in the building and trades industry.

    + Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes one year of full-time work as a Maintenance Repairer.
