Job Details The Epic Environment Team Lead is a critical leadership role responsible for coordinating and managing 21 Epic environments across production, testing, training, and development. This individual ensures environment readiness for software upgrades, go-lives, downtime rehearsals, and disaster recovery. The role bridges clinical, application, and infrastructure teams to maintain environment alignment, stability, and compliance with Epic standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all Epic environment lifecycle activities including upgrades, quarterly Service Updates (SUs), and cutovers Manage application build migrations using Data Courier, including protection rules and synchronization Validate system changes and updates using Epic release documentation; coordinate regression and promotion testing Lead technical planning and on-site coordination for scheduled downtimes, infrastructure upgrades, and DR events Maintain and enforce environment refresh schedules, change documentation, and access controls Serve as lead liaison between technical teams, application owners, clinical stakeholders, and training teams Oversee configuration and governance of Epic Nova and Sherlock systems for software issue tracking and release approvals Ensure testing and training environments are stable, current, and aligned with production Chair weekly environment coordination meetings and contribute to project planning committees Monitor environment health through Epic tools and initiate incident response when necessary Required Skills and Qualifications Epic certification in Data Courier, technical environments, or relevant module 5+ years of experience supporting Epic environments in a multi-facility health system Proven experience in technical upgrade planning, configuration management, and change control Strong communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional coordination Availability for on-call rotation and ability to manage events during nights/weekends as required Salary Range USD $125,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
