    Purpose of the position

     

    Will perform all phases of roofing duties as an Amentum employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center, Ellington Field, and Sonny Carter Training Facility.

    Principal Responsibilities of the Position

    + All phases of roofing.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    + Be able to operate Man Lifts and Bucket Trucks.

    + Must be experienced in roof repair and maintenance of membrane type systems, cold tar, and epoxy/caulk systems.

    + Must have a High School Diploma, or GED, or 5 years relevant experience.

    Requirements

    + Must be able to obtain, and maintain, the required NASA badge to access the worksite.

    + Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).

    + Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.

    + Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license. (with Real ID)

    Special Knowledge and Skills Required

    + This position is located onsite at NASA JSC and requires US Citizenship.

    + Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.

    + Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.

    + Will ensure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner as well as insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for Customers’ needs when complete.

    + Must have good attendance and work ethic.

    + Must be a Team Player

    Physical Requirements

    + Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

    + Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by the position.

    + In good physical shape/condition for climbing in and out of tight restricted working areas, as applicable.

    + Able to climb stairs with no restrictions consistently.

    + No fear of heights.

    Preferences

    + Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
