    _Project Execution Engineer_

     

    Remote/Frederick, MD -

    Salary is **$130,000-$160,000** depending on experience Primary Accountability:

    As a Project Execution Engineer at Ultimate LLC, you’ll partner with our team to develop and implement energy savings and resiliency/efficiency technology projects. You’ll collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project installation, from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to provide engineering guidance will drive project success, delivering cost savings, efficiency, and energy resiliency for our clients. In this role, you will:

     

    + Lead engineering design activities to support construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of customer site projects for energy savings contracts.

    + Review conceptual and detailed engineering designs, bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy-efficient building technologies and systems.

    + Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors to verify feasibility and pricing for proposed project modifications.

    + Provide engineering guidance during construction, commissioning, and operations, including technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations.

    + Ensure design compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.

    + Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with clients and stakeholders.

    + Review project design deliverables to support project goals in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

    + Support commissioning activities with third-party agents and subcontractors.

    + Perform additional duties as required.

    We’re Excited About You Because:

    + You hold a BSME, BSEE, or equivalent four-year technical engineering degree with proven experience in energy efficiency and/or renewable technology project development and implementation.

    + You have a minimum of 5 years of professional Project Engineer experience, preferably in the energy field.

    + You’re skilled in analyzing and reviewing drawings, engineering submittals, and implementing projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VFDs, HVAC retrofits, controls, and distributed generation.

    + You have a valid driver’s license in good standing, issued by your resident state.

    + You have experience with whole-building energy simulation software such as eQuest.

    + You hold or are progressing toward professional registrations like PE, CEM, or LEED.

    + You possess excellent verbal, written, and technical presentation skills.

    + You have a strong attention to detail and deep knowledge of energy-related concepts.

    + You’re willing and able to travel as needed.

    + You have knowledge of U.S. commercial and government standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., DoD UFC/UFGS, NEC, OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, NIST, RMF).

    + You have construction experience, ideally in ESCO and Design Build, with the ability to meet project deadlines.

    + You have commissioning experience (preferred).

    + You demonstrate excellent project management skills, including understanding schedules, meeting deadlines, and taking a leadership role when necessary.

    + You have experience with power, energy, renewables, building simulation programs, lighting retrofits, and energy conservation.

    + Ability to read computer screens, email, and talk on the phone.

    + Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

    + Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.

    + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

    + Ability to lift up to ten (10) pounds.

    Work Environment:

    + Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting, with the home office in Frederick, MD.

    + Interaction with team members and clients in both remote and on-site locations.

    + Weekly travel to the Frederick, MD office and local job sites as needed.

    + Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
