Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate

About the Role

Amergis Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in Imperial Beach, CA for the 2025–2026 school year. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will provide high-quality instruction and support to students with mild to moderate needs in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student goals

+ Provide direct instruction, tutorial support, and classroom consultation

+ Collaborate with general education staff, families, and service providers

+ Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred)

+ Valid California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate

+ At least one year of classroom experience preferred

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB clearance and health certificate (per state/district requirements)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
