    Essential functions (job duties):

    Position Purpose

    The APEX Accelerator Program Project Coordinator is designed to support and educate Wayne County businesses seeking

    to sell their products and services to federal, state, and local government agencies. Funding for the position is provided by

     

    the Department of Defense and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and reports to the APEX

     

    Accelerator Program Manager.

    Essential Functions

    -Follow up on service and information requests from APEX Accelerator clients promptly.25%

     

    -Assist with registration of businesses in federal government set-aside programs (e.g., SBA, HUBZone,

     

    WOSB). Support clients in registering and maintaining accounts in the System for Award Management

     

    (SAM).20%

    -Contribute to managing APEX’s digital presence, including social media, training schedules, and website

    content. 15%

     

    -Attend and participate in meetings with Schoolcraft APEX Accelerator staff as required.15%

    -Conduct research to assess client business capabilities and alignment with federal contracting

    opportunities. Identify and research new federal solicitations suitable for client bidding and provide

     

    relevant information.10%

     

    -Promote and support marketing efforts for APEX-hosted training sessions and outreach events.10%

     

    -Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Unique duties:

    Qualifications:

    Education: Associate's degree

     

    - Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.

     

    Experience Experienced: Minimum 2 years of job-related experience

     

    - Experience in MS PowerPoint and assisting with facilitating online instruction, on campus or in hyflex (online

     

    and on campus) formats preferred.

     

    - Experience utilizing video conferencing platforms preferred.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    - Knowledge of the government contracting market and the tools used by business to sell to this market.

     

    - Strong planning and organizational skills.

     

    - Strong written and verbal communication skills.

     

    - Ability to manage multiple and complex projects.

     

    - Ability to provide extensive customer service with courtesy and concerned attention to individual needs.
