    ANTICIPATED VACANCY

    LOCATION, CONTACT AND SALARY INFORMATION:

    Salary: $1,901.37 bi-weekly ($49,435.62 annually) (In accordance with current spending restrictions, if the appointment is an internal promotion, the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever higher.)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist with the Department of Juvenile Justice’s Central Communication Center (CCC) incidents within Prevention Services by reviewing all assigned incidents and provider updates, determining the need for administrative program reviews, and assigning reviews to Prevention Specialists across various circuits.

     

    Performs routine observations, program and quality reviews, and ongoing feedback sessions with providers to assess and measure program effectiveness from management, financial, technical, and contractual perspectives.

     

    This position performs highly responsible technical, consultative, and administrative work for the Office of Prevention Services by assisting procurement processes and managing CCC incident-related program activities.

     

    Assists with development of contractual specifications and scope language in conformance with State and Federal laws and agency policies.

     

    Identifies and resolves problematic areas of concern and/or provides recommendations to resolve these issues. Advises higher level of management on problems and policies related to these programmatic and operations issues.

     

    Communicates effectively with customers external to the Program, maintaining a positive and collaborative working relationship.

     

    Provides technical assistance to Program staff and providers as required.

     

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

     

    Ability to work independently.

     

    Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities .

     

    Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

     

    Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

     

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

     

    Ability to travel statewide , stay overnight and possible weekends.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.

    A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.

    SPECIAL NOTES:

    This position requires a flexible work schedule due to some weekends and after hours (evening) work.

     

    All prospective candidates will be subject to a sex offender check, criminal background checks (state, local, and national) and pre-employment drug screening for direct care positions.

If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
