# Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

# Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project expediting operations. You will distribute workload, monitor assignments, evaluate production schedules and progress, and develop procedures. You will contact suppliers, initiate follow-up, monitor quality, and prepare supplier evaluations. Your planning and problem solving will ensure expediting operations meet project needs. \#LI-CS1

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Participates in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project and area expediting operations for small sized projects

+ Distributes workload to assigned project expeditors according to the experience and ability of the expeditor, the degree of complexity of the work and the urgency of the need for action

+ Contacts suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data, and to follow-up on material acquisition, production progress and shipment

+ Evaluates production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if suppliers’ programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements

+ Coordinates with planning and scheduling, field material coordinators or jobsite project expeditors and construction to establish priorities, sequences, and required delivery dates and instructs suppliers accordingly

+ Expedites Bechtel engineering for the timely review, approval, and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers

+ Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to review and discuss schedules and potential problem areas that may impact required shipment dates

+ Coordinates shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project Logistics representative

# Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

# Required Knowledge and Skills:

+ At least 5 years’ project expediting experience

+ Has worked on large projects (>$3 billion) in a Senior Expeditor or lead Expediting role.

+ Proficient in interpreting schedules to ensure that realistic milestones are established, required activities occur on time, and that interface between activities is maintained.

+ Knowledge of general business practices and administrative procedures and oral communication regarding technical and production matters with both project and supplier personnel.

+ Knowledge of equipment and material fabrication sequencing and plant construction sequencing.

+ Experience in techniques of expediting of materials and equipment. Working and process familiarity with Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Construction, and Procurement practices and an understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.

+ Experienced in the supplier warning and advisory process.

+ Preferred - experience with Aconex and ETA.

+ Preferred familiarity with equipment and processes associated to LNG plants.
