    Job Description

    Make a difference in your community!

     

    We’re looking for a caring and organized **WIC Assistant** to support families through the WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program. As the first point of contact, you'll provide friendly service, manage appointments, and help ensure participants receive timely, accurate support.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Greet and assist participants with warmth and professionalism

    + Schedule appointments and answer phones

    + Collect and verify eligibility information

    + Enter and update participant data in the WIC system

    + Issue food benefits and explain program details

    + Support clinic flow and staff with day-to-day operations

    + Follow up on missed appointments and referrals

    + Help train new staff and assist other clinics as needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Excellent customer service and communication skills

    + Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

    + Basic computer and data entry skills

    + Strong team player with a helpful attitude

    **Preferred:** Bilingual skills are a plus!
