    Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

     

    + Knowledge of: food preparation techniques.

    + Skill in: interacting effectively with co-workers, parents, and children; use of kitchen equipment.

    + Ability to: read recipes, memos, special diet information, use scales, adjust recipes, read policy books, and time sheets; complete meal count sheets and work orders; count meals.

    + Requires certification in first aid and CPR , current food handlers certification, record of TB test within past year.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + CACFP experience and current Certified Food Manager Certification

    Job Description

    Assist in the food service program for the Child Development Center through food preparation service and clean-up of the kitchen and dining room.

    Job Duties

    + Wash, measure, and prepare food according to Certified Food Manager and CACFP standards.

    + Assist with meal set-up, serve meals, and clean up kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors.

    + Perform daily meal count of children and adults.

    + Launder smocks and aprons, towels weekly.

    + Wash dishes and food prep equipment.

    + Prepare breakfast lunch and afternoon snack for 100 children in accordance with CACFP standards.

    + Create monthly menu in accordance with CACFP standards.

    + Place weekly food and cleaning supplies order with vendor that is within budget.

    + Receives and inventories food deliveries.

    + Take temperature readings of refrigerators and freezers.

    + Clean kitchen shelves and chairs.

    + Completes inventory and takes stock of supplies and goods.

    + Completes daily meal production records in accordance with CACFP standards.

    + Reports kitchen needs and thefts to CDC Administration in timely manner.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Additional Information to Applicants

    This is a 30 hr/wk position. The hired person will work Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Friday 7:00-1:00 and Wednesday 6:30-12:30.
