Job Description
The Web Design & Developer will be responsible to design, build and support websites for The Kinetic Groups Direct to Consumer eCommerce business. As the Web Design & Developer, you will apply your design skills and technical expertise in SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) to help maintain and grow our ecommerce sites.
This position will be responsible for contributing to the development of the company’s world-class digital experiences in a sustainable, collaborative environment. You will ensure that we nail fundamentals across our digital properties as well as seamlessly integrate into our operational platforms and touch points to drive best-in-class conversion, checkout, customer engagements and scale. This role also helps introduce and drive new technologies and experiences that further define us as an industry leader and innovator.
The Web Design & Developer role will leverage the core capabilities of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and related cloud products to accelerate platform scalability. The position will collaborate with our brands (business units) to define, design, develop, and implement projects as part of the broader cross-functional team.
This role reports to the Director or eCommerce & Digital Marketing, and is based in Anoka, with the option to work hybrid two days a week.
What you’ll do:
+ Design website experiences that maintain our commitment to our brand standards, and maintain consistency with our brand marketing.
+ Create and maintain the layout, visual experience and usability of our websites, to build a BIC website experience for our customers that drives engagement and revenue.
+ Collaborate closely with marketing and cross-functional teams, to seamlessly integrating creative elements into broader strategies and initiatives.
+ Stay up to date on UX design trends, industry trends to ensure our approach is fresh and resonates with our audiences.
+ Become highly familiar with our components, core data models, master catalog, custom objects, workflows, and web services/REST APIs.
+ Create, maintain, and optimize fully-functional e-commerce websites with dynamic content and forms. Develop business features and technical capabilities within The Kinetic Groups Salesforce instances and related data, services, and applications.
+ Design and develop SFCC Cartridges which includes developing pipelines, ISMLs, and scripts that meet business requirements.
+ Integrate SFCC with related marketing products (such as Klaviyo’s transactional email development) and other systems including SaaS applications from third-party vendors, event-driven systems, or data warehouses.Participate in development life cycle including analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, source control, deployment, and support.
+ Follow Agile development methodology and participate in internal and external planning sprints to drive and deliver functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops.
+ Facilitate constant communication and collaboration with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, creative solutions, and continuous improvement within the environment.
+ Apply best practices and assess technical monitoring including site performance and load testing results.
+ Adhere to web standards, compliance, and technical governance and take direct responsibility for quality work to meet development and implementation schedules.
+ Convert existing tools and data to new technologies in support of enterprise platforms.
+ Grow your technical skills and knowledge on the latest development innovations on the Salesforce platform to improve online shopping and brand experience.
+ Assist with related projects & duties when the business needs require it.
Experience you bring:
+ BS in Computer Science, Web Development or a related area with a design emphasis or relevant work experience.
+ 3-5 years of experience developing applications and business logic in the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform (SFRA experience, Salesforce certification, and Business Manager configuration knowledge a plus).
+ Integration experience with Salesforce and third-party systems (such as payment gateways, tax software) using Web services and knowledge of digital commerce integration such as DAM and ERP.
+ Web programming experience with object-oriented programming, AMPscript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, XML, (ASP.NET/C# is a plus).
+ Ability to interpret business requirements and write comprehensive technical documentation.
+ Self-motivated, results-oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to research, recommend, and communicate technical solutions in an easy to understand manner to solve complex problems.
+ Experience with Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.
+ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Klaviyo, Salsify, Signifyd (Fraud), Widen a plus.
+ Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
+ Experience in UX/UI design.
Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
$81,200.00 - $113,600.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
