Job Summary
Do you have a love of history? If so, this position is perfect for you! As a Photograph Processor in Multimedia Archives, you would be part of a team and would assist in the arrangement, description, and digitization of photograph collections related to these histories.
The successfully hired candidate will be expected to continue their employment for a minimum of **two semesters.**
For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted.
Responsibilities
Each student would pick 2 areas of specialization that fall into these categories:
1. **Outreach**
1. Assist with updating online resources and exhibitions
2. Assist with fabrication of exhibits for outreach events
2. **Audits**
1. Ensuring online resources accurately reflect the physical collections housed in the archive, providing feedback and updates
3. **Reference**
1. Assist with basic reference
2. Scanning for patron requests
4. **Collaborative Processing**
1. Assist in the rehousing, organization, description of archival material with a full-time archivist
5. **Operations**
1. Assist with shelf-reads, location updates
2. Assist with barcoding
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.
