Job Summary

Willard Marriott Library seeks to recruit a student with advanced library and research skills that will enrich and strengthen our organization.

For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted.

Responsibilities

+ Promote library resources and Open Education Resources (OERs) to students, staff, and faculty.

+ Provide support for evidence synthesis reviews by locating the full-text of materials, requesting materials through interlibrary loan, and attaching full-text to EndNote libraries.

+ Support library patrons (students, staff, and faculty) seeking assistance with Open Education Resources (OERs).

+ Update online library curricular materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.

Preferences

+ Experience with citation software such as EndNote, Mendeley, and/or Zotero.

+ Experience with peer advising, peer mentoring, classroom teaching, and/or library instruction.

+ Experience in using the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) and/or LibGuides (Springshare).

+ Completed one year of graduate study.
