    In this position...

     

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Full-stack API Software Engineer/Technical Anchor to lead and build elegant and scalable solutions to power a digital buying experience. In this position, you will be leading one of the Pricing workstreams with a group of Software Engineers to design, build and deliver global solutions for Vehicle commerce along with Accessories, Parts, Merchandise commerce. We are the technical core of the eCommerce Platform, maintaining a strong engineering culture that encourages innovation, growth, and development.

     

    This is a hybrid opportunity, and the team is onsite four days a week in Dearborn, MI. Relocation assistance may be available.

    What you'll do…

    + Work closely with Solution Architect and Enterprise Architect to design solutions.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Architects, DevOps, and QA, to design and develop a scalable microservices platform.

    + Design, develop, and implement high-quality, reusable, and testable code that adheres to industry best practices and standards.

    + Handle operational issues with little or no oversight.

    + Actively review code to ensure the software quality and functional accuracy is maintained across the team.

    + Keen to learn the design and architecture of the product and participate in ceremonies that can influence both.

     

    You'll have...

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

    + 8 + years of experience in Java, open-source technologies, and hands-on experience in micro services using advance Java concepts.

    + 5+ years of experience in Spring boot and Spring cloud frameworks and GCP technologies like Cloud run, Bigtable, Postgres SQL. (AWS/Azure may be acceptable)

    + 5+ years of experience in writing unit test cases using Junit, TestNG

    + 3- years of experience as a Technical Leader with skills including:

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Experience with agile development lifecycle and design/development projects leading a group of software engineers

    + All code delivered adheres to secure coding practices and with adequate code coverage at a minimum of 90%

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    + Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field

    + Test and debug UI issues across different browsers and devices Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in UI development

    + Ability to work effectively with other global team members.

    + Experience in the usage of version control tools like ‘git’, and with collaborative tools like GitHub, Bitbucket etc.

    + Exposure/Experience in Google, Amazon/Microsoft cloud computing platform

    + Experience/Exposure to NoSQL datastore

    + Ability to develop and maintain robust and scalable UI architecture using NextJS / React JS

    + Proficient in Next.js, React JS, and/or AEM stack.

    + Good experience with highly scalable applications and extensive knowledge in JavaScript Design & Architectural Patterns.

    + Proven facilitation skills - able to effectively drive discussion among diverse perspectives and reach a decision or recommendation.

    + Effectively work with cross-functional teams across the organization – inside and outside of the technology and software organization

    + Problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

    This position is a range of salary grades **6-8** .
