Senior Product Manager

General Description

The Popular Auto Division is primary focus will be to collaborate with the Sales team to grow the loan and lease portfolio for cars, trucks, equipment and boats. This will be achieved with the implementation of targeted campaigns, strategic alliances with dealers, suppliers and providers, through the optimization of digital and face-to-face channels. In addition will be responsible for co-leading Popular Auto's marketing strategy for the affiliated dealer network in Puerto Rico.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Effective management of work teams, aligning resources and optimal use of the assigned budget. This includes managing budgets allocated to special projects, activities/events, contests, and other marketing efforts.

+ Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote auto financing products through the network of affiliated dealerships.

+ Develop promotional materials and support tools for dealers (signage, digital content, media support, etc.) focused on increasing the sales volume of our participating dealers and the % of sponsorship to Popular Auto.

+ Coordinate events, auto shows and point-of-sale activations with dealers; and activities such as: social, education for dealer employees, dealer owners, etc., employee and customer recognition, corporate travel and Golf Tournament.

+ Lead special projects that require the collaboration of people and groups that report to other areas of the business, the company and external suppliers. Such as: dealer events, social activities, Golf Tournament.

+ Manage digital campaigns (billboards, social networks, Google Ads, email marketing) focused on generating requests and conversion to portfolio.

+ Coordinate with the compliance and legal area the different campaigns and/or requirements related to digital strategies, brands and offers.

+ Maintain a close and aligned collaboration with dealers, advertising agencies, media (press, radio and TV) joint initiatives in search of increasing sales.

+ Monitor the performance of each dealer in terms of application generation, financing conversion and the performance of their portfolios.

+ Establish marketing strategies tied to the individual sales strategy of top dealers and/or distributors including: offers, contests, recognition activities, and support at their dealerships.

+ Analyze automotive market trends and consumer behavior in Puerto Rico to provide suggestions and solutions according to the needs that arise.

+ Supervise the people who work with the functions related to assembly and disassembly, signage, management of the calendar of activities, events and corporate activities.

+ Collaborate with the credit, sales, and compliance team to ensure strategic alignment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises full time employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Coach and develop employees. Foster a spirit of teamwork that allows for disagreement over ideas as well as diversity.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing

Experience

+ Supervisory experience.

+ Minimum of five (5) years of marketing experience, preferably knowledge of the automotive market and financing in Puerto Rico.

+ Experience in the management of advertising through agencies and effective management of work teams.

+ Mastery of digital marketing tools and data analysis (Google Analytics, Meta Ads, CRM, You Tube post).

+ Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.

+ Experience making sales strategy presentations.

+ Develop unique solutions that differentiate the product from the market, while adjusting strategies in response to market changes and needs.

+ Dedicated, high-energy, creative, self-starter who has excellent drive for getting results

+ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

+ High Level of organization to establish priorities, simultaneously work with multiple tasks and meet deadlines

+ Ability to understand key performance analytics and leverage date to make informed decisions

+ Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

+ Exceptional attention to detail

+ Strong problem-solving and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (Spanish and English)

+ Ability in designing effective presentations

+ Proficient in the use of Word, Power Point, Excel

+ Availability to travel on and off the island; visit dealerships during extended hours and weekends.
