    Job Overview

     

    Fairview is looking for a Service and Product Assistant at the University of MN Health Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN. This is a casual position, meaning all hours are as needed; we are primarily looking for someone whou can work 5a-9a.or 4p-8p.

     

    The Service and Product Assistant position has the responsibility of distributing and delivering materials, supplies and equipment as well as loading/unloading and packing/unpacking materials, supplies and equipment. It will also include the cleaning of Medical equipment.

    Responsibilites:

    + Maintain accurate inventory levels of medical supplies, linen, and equipment, including routine cycle counts and removal of expired or recalled items.

    + Apply inventory control principles, calculate and recommend par level adjustments, and report discrepancies such as stock-outs or defects.

    + Coordinate supply shipments, deliveries, and restocking for multiple locations, using computer systems for tracking and reporting.

    + Identify, clean, and maintain medical equipment and instruments, including performing gross decontamination and proper routing.

    + Review surgical schedules to ensure appropriate preparation and rotation of medical supplies and instruments.

    + Respond promptly and professionally to supply requests, clearly communicating via phone, email, and in person.

    + Distinguish between emergency and routine requests to ensure timely and appropriate fulfillment.

    Required Qualifications

    + One year, or less, comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels

    + Independent use of computers including data entry

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 1 year of experince
