This is a part-time, benefit-eligible day/evening position, working 56 hours/2 week pay period (0.7 FTE), including seven 8-hour shifts with start times from 5:00am-6:00am or 11:00am-2:30PM, and up to every other weekend. The LCT position is in the Lab Float Pool. Lab Float Pool employees may regularly travel between two hospitals to fill open shifts and "regular" travel is defined as the expectation to be available to travel 100% at any time to a different location based on the business needs. The length of the assignment at a location will vary based on need (i.e., 1 day for ill call or an extended period of time), which includes the expectation to travel to another hospital during the day at a moment's notice. The nature of travel expectations (100%) and schedule expectations (unpredictable) provide a clear distinction between float pool workforce employees and the expectations for travel (none or occasionally) and schedules (predictable) for other employees. Lab Float employees receive a pay incentive in addition to the hourly rate of pay. May be eligible for mileage reimbursement (as qualified under IRS regulations).
