The Ophthalmic Photographer II will perform intermediate to advanced ophthalmic photography and imaging procedures independently. The ideal candidate has superb, highly technical, specialized Ophthalmic Photography skills. The candidate is empathetic, organized, and highly knowledgeable in the field of ophthalmology. A caregiver in this position works days, 9:00am-5:30pm or 7:30am-4:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Perform ophthalmic photography testing including anterior and posterior OCT imaging, standard fundus photography, ultra-wide field fundus imaging, FAF and red-free fundus photography, fluorescein angiography and ICG testing.
+ Perform advanced slit lamp photography, anterior segment FA, and gonioscopy.
+ Assist junior ophthalmic photographers in the refinement of testing skill and image acquisition.
+ Obtain all needed clinical study certification, complete and accurately submit clinical study images.
+ Accurately differentiate advanced level ocular pathology and disease processes.
+ Evaluate physician orders and follow appropriate protocols for examinations.
+ Maintain equipment and imaging database integrity and comply with all safety precautions.
+ Demonstrate positive, concerned, and sensitive responses in the work environment.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 8 years of experience as a full-time Ophthalmic Photographer
+ OR 10 years of experience as a full time Ophthalmic Photographer may substitute the degree requirement
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ OCT-C (Optical Coherence Tomography-Certified) required within one year of hire or promotion date, CRA (Certified Retinal Angiographer)

Physical Requirements:
+ Manual dexterity and strength sufficient to operate medical equipment utilized to perform testing procedures, perform exams and hold equipment.
+ Good eye-hand coordination.
+ May require long periods of standing and walking.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Lab coat, gloves, and face mask when applicable.
