    Required Skills:

    Data Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Architect, implement and deploy new data models and data processes in production.

    2. Perform data analysis to generate business insights.

    3. Interface with Engineers, Product Managers and Product Analysts to understand product goals and data needs.

    4. Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.

    5. Manage data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products.

    6. Support critical data processes running in production.

    7. Solve challenging data integration problems utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, and sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources.

    8. Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    9. Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems Management or a related field and, completion of one coursework, research project or internship.

    10. Experience must include completion of one coursework, research project, or internship involving the following:

    11. 1. Programming knowledge in Python

    12. 2. Knowledge of SQL, and MapReduce/MPP systems

    13. 3. Knowledge of database systems and technologies: Presto, Spark, HDFS, Airflow

    14. 4. Custom ETL design, implementation, maintenance

    15. 5. Schema design and dimensional data modelling

    16. 6. Data design for products/features, adaptation, and use-case scenarios within and across a big data ecosystem

    Public Compensation:

    $138,260/year to $154,660/year + bonus + equity + benefits
