    Per Diem - Behavioral Health Counselor III - St. Mary Campus

    What you will do:

    Provide addiction treatment as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of the approved plan of patient care which is provided through individual and group sessions.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develops Treatment Plans care based on the identified psychosocial needs.

    + Includes the patient, family, other health care professionals and/or other appropriate community agencies in formulating the plan of care.

    + Updates the Treatment plan at regular intervals.

    + Includes discharge planning which begins at admission and is completed at discharge

    + Provides group and individual therapy to individuals and families.

    + Responsible for assessing and prioritizing patient needs.

    + Evidences knowledge and understanding of range of treatment needed and is able to implement appropriately.

    + Responsible for care as appropriate to age, gender, sexual identification, religion and culture.

    + Provides, crisis management services as indicated

    + May provide family therapy/education services

    + Accurately and appropriately documents care that is consistent with the approved format and within the required timeframes.

    + Documents incidents and patient care issues according to OASAS and JCAHO standards.

    • **What you will need:**

    + Associate's degree and CASAC certification is required,

    + Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.

    + Must have a CASAC /QHP.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience working in an addiction or behavioral related field with skills in planning, leading addiction group therapy, and individual treatment sessions.

    + Strong writing and communication skills are required as well as knowledge of working with community agencies and managed care representatives is desired.

    + Experience working with a diverse population and a strong understanding of multicultural issues is preferred.

     

    Pay Range: $20.25 - $28.15

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
