    Position Summary

    The

    General Manager is responsible for overall management and oversight of daily

    venue operations and continued profitability of their designated locations,

    including managing city and community relations. This individual must

    exhibit unparalleled levels of hospitality, successfully build and lead strong

    teams, maintain City Winery’s brand and identity, and strive to exceed

    standards of excellence in all areas of the business. This role is responsible

    for activating and executing brand initiatives through the teams, cultivating

    and instilling a positive company culture, and fostering successful

    interdepartmental collaboration to ultimately drive profitability for the

    business.

    Overview of Responsibilities

    GeneralOperations

    + Overseeand manage all aspects of multi-unit operations and all associatedinternal departments. Ensure successful execution of all shows, events anddaily activity

    + Teachand adhere to City Winery principles and commitment to quality food, wine,and service

    + Lead byexample and enforce Company policies, procedures, guidelines, andpractices consistently

    + Ensurecontrols are in place to prevent waste and theft

    + Establishgoals, anticipate and resolve problems in all aspects of the business

    + Ensurehigh standards of sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and compliance aremaintained at all times

    + Ensureadherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, complianceregulations, inspections, etc.

    + Partnerwith and work collaboratively with internal Company divisions to achieveoverall company and business goals

    + Overseeor directly handle customer related issues through email, phone and inperson in a timely manner

    + Managecontent on End of Day (EOD) report to ensure key performance indicatorsare captured and reported as per given guidelines

    + Collaboratewith managers on visual spot checks of petty cash ledger, POS credit cardprocessing, voids and comps, report and the nightly product mix

    + Reviewand sign off on monthly cost reports, inventory–beer, liquor, wine,glassware and food plus the ticket sales report from programming beforesubmitting to accounting

    + Overseefacility maintenance including cleanliness and safety; review inventoryand equipment usage including relevant plant maintenance or improvementsneeded; create plan for investments related to updates and repairs

    + Routinereview of staffing pars to ensure alignment with upcoming events,reservations, and ticket counts

    + Leaddepartments on menu pricing to ensure they meet company guidelines and orare priced appropriately for the market, in partnership with COO

    + Leadcommunications related to new concepts, promotions, product launches asthey develop with location directors down through line level staff

    + Coordinateproper staff training of all new products prior to a release to thepublic.

    + Workalongside Executive Chef to maintain the most efficient operation of ourkitchen and execution of our menus in a timely, presentable and profitablemanor

    + Operatein full compliance in all areas including health, safety and sanitation,fire, and ensure routine maintenance of equipment and property

    + Assistconcert management with communication between Artist Management and thehouse when concert comps & VIPs increase the guest list beyond ournormal allotment

    + Supportand oversee event operations to approve floor plans and layouts, ensurecomplete event information is entered into systems

    + Reviewand sign off on monthly cost reports, inventory–beer, liquor, wine,glassware and food plus the ticket sales report from Programming beforesubmitting to accounting

    + Perform,implement, and execute projects/tasks/ initiatives as per business needand/or assigned by Senior Leadership

    Leadership

    + Fosterpositive Company culture, build morale, and create on-going positive workenvironment and maintain a productive and professional workforce

    + Directand oversee proper and continued training of staff in all departments

    + Interview,select, train, supervise, counsel, and monitor performance of staff

    + Conductdisciplinary action as needed, including termination, when necessary inpartnership with HR and in accordance with Company policies and guidelines

    + Train,develop, and motivate management team members. Monitor management teams toensure they are developing direct reports

    + Conductstaff meetings regularly to ensure effective and clear communicationincluding management meetings, BEO meetings

    + Ensuresafe working environment in all areas and proper and timely reporting ofall incidents, injuries, accidents through proper channels

    + Approveof all new hires, with senior leadership partnership when required andensure all hires are properly onboarded and given tools to succeed

    + Clearlycommunicate and train staff on company updates, policy changes, andinitiatives in a timely manner

    + Handlepersonnel issues in partnership with HR and COO when needed

    FinancialManagement

    + Maintain,monitor, and strive to exceed P&L goals for general operations, foodcost, labor cost, payroll, and all other business related expenditures inconjunction with business forecasts and budgets

    + Providebudgeting guidelines to all internal departments and monitor financialperformance

    + Ensurepurchases meets budgetary goals by establishing purchasing specifications,product storage and usage requirements, and waste control procedures

    + Ensureinvoices are handled and disseminated properly through necessary channelsacross the business

    + Reviewall product/item costs, analyze trends and movement, and make changesaccordingly

    + Supervise,train, and monitor management staff to ensure understanding of budgetcontrol

    Administration

    + Monitordepartment scheduling and adjust as necessary to ensure operational &financial success

    + Ensureproper completion of administrative tasks including trackers,financial-related reports, personnel forms including PAFs, CAFs, injuryreports, and other necessary admin tasks.

    + Overseeand approve accurate payroll administration and processing

    + Ensurecommunication to personnel regarding benefits timelines and properadministration, in partnership with HR

    + Ensureaccurate reporting and entries into all systems/ software that is utilized

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 3+ years of restaurant

    leadership experience required

    • 2+ years of restaurant

    leadership experience required

    • Live programming knowledge

    • Strong knowledge of front and

    back of house operations, including food, beverages, staff supervision,

    inventory, and food safety

    • Understanding of cost and

    labor systems for restaurant profitability

    • Proven experience in

    restaurant management or a similar role

    • Strong leadership and

    organizational skills

    • Excellent customer service

    and communication abilities

    • Proficiency in financial

    management, including budgeting and cost control

    • A degree in business

    management or substantial work experience in the restaurant industry, preferred

    • Ability to lift 50lbs.
