The Student Affairs Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support across various Student Affairs service areas, including career services, enrollment, testing, on-campus student employment and ambassador program, and other related functions of Student Affairs. This role involves direct interaction with students, offering guidance and assistance from their initial inquiry through graduation and employment preparation. Additionally, the Student Affairs Coordinator actively participates in and contributes to college-wide programming, fostering a collaborative and student-centered environment.

Travel to other M State campuses will be required, approximately, as follows:
+ Monthly: 3-6 times /month
This position will have a home campus location of Fergus Falls, Moorhead, or Wadena.
Responsibilities** **:
+ Live the mission, vision and values of M State to ensure a positive experience for all students and stakeholders. Service to M State students and stakeholders is a core component of the position and work responsibilities.
+ Provide comprehensive student support for various Student Affairs departments, including, but not limited to, career services, enrollment, testing, and proctoring.
+ Oversee Student Ambassador (student employment) Program hiring.
+ Support for campus and college operations.
Minimum Qualifications** **:
+ Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in any of the following: working with students/clients in higher education, academic or job coaching, human resources, or event planning/management. A bachelor's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience; an associate's degree may substitute for 6 months of experience.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively to diverse audiences.
+ Effective human relation skills; ability to develop rapport one-on-one, as well as in a group setting, working as part of a team in a collaborative manner
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds.
+ Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, computer software applications, and systems sufficient to enter data and create basic business correspondence, document interactions, and training presentations.
+ Possession of an active, valid, and applicable Class D (basic) driver’s license and ability to maintain an active, valid, and applicable Class D (basic) driver’s license.
+ Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events, deadlines, or other department needs.
Preferred Qualifications** **:
+ Knowledge and/or experience with effective resume writing, formatting, and content development.
+ Knowledge and/or experience with event planning and programming, and leadership development.
+ Experience and skills to present material to a variety of groups in a way that is well-organized, clear, and engaging.
+ Knowledge of higher education processes and program administration, and facilitation.
+ Familiarity with Handshake.
