Job Summary and Qualifications

At Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable RN First Assist on our Surgical Services unit to provide care and treatment to ill and injured in our patient centered care model. In this role, you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. • You will demonstrate competency in assisting surgeons as it relates to unit scope of care.

• On our team, you will provide a safe environment for the surgical patient during their perioperative experience.

• On our team, you will guide and be a resource for other staff members.

• You will utilize principles of aseptic technique in creating and maintaining a sterile field.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Current RN licensure in Virginia

+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

+ Current BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or CPR through American Red Cross

+ CNOR or CRNFA Certification

+ Minimum of three years operation room scrubbing experience
