    Outside Sales Representative

     

    Our client, a trusted provider of crane and heavy equipment solutions, is seeking an **Outside Sales Representative** to support business growth across **Alaska** . This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for someone with a strong background in equipment sales, account development, and technical product knowledge.

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Drive revenue growth across equipment sales, rentals, parts, and service

    + Establish new customer accounts through cold calling and on-site visits

    + Support and retain existing accounts while expanding the customer base

    + Promote the full range of company products and services

    + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction

    + Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and applications

    + Follow up on orders to ensure a positive customer experience

    + Act as the primary liaison between customers and the company

    + Participate in trade shows and industry events to build brand presence

    + Resolve customer issues and product concerns in a timely, effective manner

    + Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders

    + Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + 3+ years of sales experience in cranes or heavy equipment

    + Strong planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

    + Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays

    + Knowledge of crane equipment and related industries

    + Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

    + Self-starter with a positive, customer-first attitude

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

    + Ability to deliver presentations and communicate technical value

    Preferred Attributes:

    + Familiarity with Manitowoc, Grove, National, or other crane manufacturers

    + Experience in industrial construction or mobile crane markets

    + Understanding of sales methodologies and mechanical concepts

    + Background in customer service, public relations, or technical sales

    Working Conditions:

    + Full-time, field-based role with frequent travel throughout Alaska

    + Monthly vehicle allowance, mileage reimbursement, and company credit card provided

    + Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs), bending, and travel to customer sites

    + Office and offsite work environments with moderate noise levels

    Special Requirements:

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Excellent safety record and commitment to compliance
