Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator specializing in labor and compliance to join our team in Ontario, California. This role requires a strong background in certified payroll processing, labor compliance, and the ability to interpret contracts to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in both independent and team settings, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Process certified payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws.
• Review and interpret contracts to determine applicable federal or state regulations.
• Complete and manage labor compliance forms, maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor apprentice ratios and ensure adherence to labor standards.
• Collaborate with team members and support cross-training initiatives within payroll functions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
• Work independently while contributing to team goals and objectives.
• Provide ongoing support for payroll-related audits and compliance reviews.
• Stay updated on labor laws and compliance requirements, applying knowledge to daily operations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in certified payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of labor compliance, including prevailing wage laws and apprentice ratios.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts to determine federal or state requirements.
• Familiarity with labor compliance forms and related documentation.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to be cross-trained in payroll functions.
• Self-motivated and focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
