Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and insightful analysis for decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with leadership and external auditors while playing a vital role in maintaining reliable financial reporting and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.

• Manage the general ledger by overseeing journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and review key financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Support the creation and analysis of monthly financial reports to aid management in strategic decision-making.

• Coordinate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits to streamline the process.

• Monitor cash flow forecasts and ensure compliance with corporate requirements.

• Oversee fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure accuracy.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, offering valuable financial insights.

• Implement and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure operational efficiency.

• Assist the Controller with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting tasks, and special projects. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP, Concur, and Crystal Reports.

• Strong understanding of DCAA regulations and compliance.

• Extensive experience with core accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Expertise in auditing processes and procedures.

• Familiarity with billing functions and financial reporting standards.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to support financial decision-making.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
