Description
Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Kuiper Government Solutions’ (KGS) mission is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers. This position will be working on KGS’ Business Operations team.
This role will be responsible for defining and writing the business requirements for KGS to support ongoing business system implementation activities and new contracts/deals.
The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and business challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and business requirements in a written context. The ideal candidate will be familiar with telecommunications services and government acquisition processes, particularly the U.S federal government. You must leverage your knowledge and skills to decide what actions to take and stakeholders to select to determine the right goals and inform decisions.

Key job responsibilities
-Author business requirements that will define processes for technical operations, accounting, finance and tax functions to process sales of KGS products and services to government end customers.
-Engage and communicate effectively on a wide range of technical and business discussions with internal Kuiper team members.
-Leverage your expertise and judgment to work through and author business requirements documents (BRDs).
-Identify and clear blockers with the right resources, escalating when appropriate.
-Communicate clearly and effectively to peers and leadership on BRD plans, status, and critical issues.
-Foster a constructive dialogue with stakeholders, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
Security Clearance : This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of Business strategy or Non-Tech Program Management experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
