Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Plainview, New York. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and the construction industry. The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and compliance with accounting regulations.

• Supervise document control processes to ensure proper organization and accessibility of company documents.

• Utilize Sage 300 to streamline accounting tasks and improve operational efficiency.

• Coordinate the scanning, compiling, and archiving of financial documents to maintain an organized record-keeping system.

• Analyze financial data to provide insights for strategic decision-making and cost management.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that align with business goals.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

• Train and mentor staff on best practices in accounting and financial management.

• Assist in audits and ensure readiness for compliance reviews. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience within the construction industry.

• Proficiency in Sage 300 software is required.

• Strong knowledge of document control and record-keeping practices.

• Experience with document scanning and compiling processes.

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
