Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to oversee property-specific financial responsibilities, including performing accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate results and developing proactive solutions to complex accounting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

+ Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger for multiple properties.

+ Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and security deposits with precise attention to detail.

+ Assist in budget creation and variance analysis to ensure efficient financial management of properties.

+ Generate tenant-related financial information, including rent rolls, billing statements, and collection tracking.

+ Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to address financial queries and optimize workflows.

+ Participate in audits and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and practices.

+ Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

+ MBA or CPA preferred.

+ Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.

+ Proficient in enterprise accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with creating pivot tables and complex formulas.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a results-driven mindset.
