• Maintenance Mechanic

    LifePoint Health (Wytheville, VA)


    Maintains all refrigeration, air conditioning systems of the hospital. Performs a variety of other maintenance duties in and around the building and grounds of the hospital property.

    Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Plant Operations

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    HVAC certification strongly preferred.

    EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants preferred.

    Valid drivers license

    Ability to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.

    Handle with Care within one year of date of hire.

    Ability to read blue prints and experience in commercial plumbing and electrical applications required.

    Experience in health care building codes and maintenance preferred.

    Graduate of two-year college course in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance strongly preferred.
