• Full Stack Engineer

    Robert Half Technology (Menlo Park, CA)


    Description

    Robert Half is looking for a motivated FullStack Software Engineer for a long term contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with both frontend and backend technologies, a strong understanding of software testing principles, and the curiosity to explore untested areas of the system to build quality into the product from the start. This role will be a long term contract and will require 3 days working onsite.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address gaps in existing tools and testing processes.

    + Design, develop, and maintain full-stack internal solutions using proprietary platforms.

    + Build robust backend services using Python or Go.

    + Create interactive frontend components using TypeScript and JavaScript.

    + Review and write automated tests to validate business-critical systems.

    + Develop reusable automation frameworks and tooling libraries.

    + Participate in defining best practices for testing and development.

    + Support homegrown native technologies and ensure their reliability and scalability.

    + Document solutions clearly and communicate technical concepts effectively.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.

    + Strong preference for 2+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

    + Proficient in Python or Go for backend development.

    + Advanced skills in JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.

    + Experience working in full-stack environments.

    + Understanding of test principles and methodologies (hands-on testing experience is a plus).

    + Familiarity with tools like Playwright or other modern automation frameworks.

    + Knowledge of API and backend automation techniques.

    + Strong problem-solving, debugging, and documentation skills.

    + Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a highly autonomous environment.

    + Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
