• Sr. Software Engineer

    Robert Half Technology (Winston Salem, NC)


    Description

    + Design, build, and maintain web applications using the latest .NET technologies.

    + Support and modernize legacy solutions built on .NET Framework 4.8.

    + Work with MSSQL Server to develop and optimize complex queries, procedures, and schema design.

    + Create and maintain REST APIs, primarily for internal systems and integration with web platforms.

    + Develop front-end components using HTML, CSS, and jQuery; familiarity with modern frameworks like React is a bonus.

    + Participate in UI/UX design discussions to enhance the user experience across applications.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

    + Provide technical leadership, best practices, and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.

    + Offer occasional support for existing desktop applications written in C#; VB.NET experience is a plus but not required.

    Requirements

    + 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on C# and .NET technologies.

    + Proficient in .NET 6+, with production experience in .NET 8 or 9.

    + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.

    + Familiarity with legacy .NET Framework applications and modern migration strategies.

    + Solid front-end development experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.

    + Strong understanding of RESTful services and modern API design principles.

    + Experience working on both maintenance and new feature development.

    + Ability to contribute to UI/UX planning and visual design decisions.
