Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is based in Burbank, California, and offers the opportunity to work on diverse accounting functions, from cash flow forecasting to compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a precise mindset, and a commitment to upholding best practices in financial management.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. accounting standards.
• Conduct detailed financial statement analyses, including budget-to-actual and cost variance reviews.
• Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, providing variance analysis as needed.
• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations by documenting and testing internal controls.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to implement and monitor cost accounting systems, including variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Drive the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure timely completion of month-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Mentor and supervise entry-level accounting staff, fostering their growth. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance requirements.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations with accuracy.
• Experience in cash flow analysis and developing cash flow forecasts.
• Familiarity with cost accounting systems, including variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
