Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team in Rochester, New York. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the healthcare industry, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts payable processes while supporting the overall success of the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Handle administrative and clerical tasks essential to the Accounts Payable and Finance Department.

• Perform daily processes and controls with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal business teams and stakeholders.

• Assist with internal and external audits as needed, providing necessary documentation and support.

• Manage incoming department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it efficiently.

• Organize and file invoices, checks, and other financial documents, ensuring proper logging and photocopying.

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including handling special requests for expedited processing.

• Support the department by completing assigned special projects. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial tools.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly when interacting with technical and financial teams.

• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in handling interruptions and shifting priorities.

• Customer service experience with a focus on building positive relationships.
