    The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

     

    Handling & Transporting Linens: Collecting soiled linen from patient areas and transporting it to the laundry facility,

     

    This can involve pushing heavy carts weighing up to 700 lbs,

     

    Processing & Preparing Linens: Processing linen from soiled to clean and preparing it for shipment to hospitals and satellite facilities,

     

    This might involve sorting, folding, and potentially ironing or pressing linens,

    Job Overview:

    Under the supervision of the Laundry Department Supervisor or Manager, the Linen Service Worker is responsible for the efficient and organized handling of soiled and clean linen throughout the facility. This includes collecting soiled linens from various departments, delivering clean linens, ensuring proper processing of soiled linens, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the linen department.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + Strong ability to take direction

    + Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting

    + Possess basic math skills

    Preferred:

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent

    Scheduling Requirements

    + Part Time: 15hrs.

    + Shift: Day

    + Time: 7a-3p

    + Must work some weekends and holidays

    Essential Functions:

    + Collection of all soiled linens from all the Nursing Units and other Ancillary departments including Continuing Care. Fill in the carts to 100% capacity

    + Deliver linen exchange carts to all Nursing Units. Distribute lines to all other Nursing units and Ancillary Departments

    + Ensure soiled linen in laundry bags went through the Chute Room properly

    + Maintain the bulk linen items line together. Put away the linen items in the cabinets

    + Keep the Linen Department clean and in order

    + Line all the empty carts together against the wall

    + Replenish and ensure exchange carts are filled with the appropriate Par levels

    + Return empty carts to the linen department for restocking.
