Responsibilities Perform a variety of clerical and assistant work in support of the work of the organization. Receives and reviews incoming mail, and makes proper distribution of mail ensuring the security of sensitive/secret materials. The incumbent is the central source of information with regard to certain functions necessary for the efficiency of operations, such as automation support, telecommunications, document processing, mail, and timekeeping. Under general supervision, uses knowledge of the organizations programs, policies, procedures, precedents, and regulatory guidelines, and exercises independent judgment in providing this administrative support to a program management organization. Help desk functions involving customer automation support by receiving calls, answering technical questions and making referrals for assistance as necessary. Prepares a variety of admin reports, technical correspondence, written documents, or graphs. Searches files, records, makes contact with individuals from within/outside the organizations for required information. Operates a vehicle to transport mail. Completes trip tickets/maintenance service records. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Standard Qualifications: Must have experience performing work consisting of standard and nonstandard assignments involving different and unrelated steps, processes, and methods. A knowledge of rules, operations, and practices of the job is required. Must possess a driver's license and be able to lift and carry packages, weighing, on occasion, up to 70 pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be able to operate office automation equipment and prepare and edit documents. Must have knowledge of computers and telecommunications devises. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
