    Job Description

    As a Lab Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing samples in a fast-paced lab environment. You will handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, verify client information and confirm orders, update client sample specifications, and register daily samples using the LIMS system. Your responsibilities include receiving samples, logging them into the system, verifying data accuracy, and supporting various administrative tasks in the lab.

    Responsibilities

    + Take incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients to verify information and confirm orders and lab specifications.

    + Update client sample specifications and changes in the LIMS system via computer.

    + Register and log the day's samples into the LIMS system using computer systems.

    + Receive and login samples, ensuring results data and samples data match.

    + Add new customers and machine compartments to the database and verify customer address or machine ownership.

    + Complete manual data entry and ensure test data is complete and correct for evaluation.

    + Sort lab's daily run of customer report and feedback copies of sample reports for the day.

    + Log in Level II coolant samples and assist in shipping out for test work.

    + Assist in getting warranty letters out and invoicing special sample services.

    + Perform various admin tasks to support the lab.

    Essential Skills

    + Laboratory experience and quality control knowledge.

    + Proficiency in wet chemistry and data entry using computer systems.

    + Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks quickly.

    + Experience in following SOPs and record lab data accurately.

    + Mechanical aptitude and understanding of lab environment and supplies.

    + Strong clerical and administrative skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or associate's degree or GED.

    + Experience in sample login to a LIMS in a third-party analytical lab.

    + Clerical/admin experience with customer service exposure.

    + Ability to work in a deadline-driven, production environment.

    + Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.

    + Computer proficiency and attention to detail.

    Work Environment

    Join a dynamic lab team with less than 10 members, working closely to process over 1000 samples per day according to client deadlines. The environment is casual, with a dress code of close-toe shoes, jeans, and t-shirts. You will work adjacent to the lab and shadow a senior lab clerk to develop your skills. The lab operates from Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, with potential flexibility to 8am - 4:30pm. This is a repetitive yet rewarding role in an industrial laboratory focused on predictive maintenance of equipment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
