The Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain is responsible for establishing and maintaining the strategic, 24 month supply plan, data model optimization and manufacturing analytics. This role will focus on delivering an optimized network supply plan that drives and supports the company\u2019s financial, operational, and supply chain objectives, as well as being the primary point of contact for several KPIs. The Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain will support and enable the manufacturing operations teams, as well as developing strong working relationships to all functional areas (supply chain, operations, commercial, and financial). They will partner with key stakeholders to drive decisions and solutions to balance demand and supply while meeting our strategic and financial commitments.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a balanced supply plan across a 24-month horizon that meets service, inventory and financial targets at an appropriate cost
* Manage operational reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
* Key participant in the monthly IBP Supply Review process for Corrugated Packaging, identifying gaps and driving solutions development with the cross functional leadership team to realign demand and supply plans to meet our strategic objectives and financial commitments
* Lead the development of supply scenarios & analytics to address capacity requirements within the IBP planning horizon for new and/or incremental demand or to address supply disruptions in the current plans
* Identify potential bottlenecks or excess capacity across the division, partner with supply planning and operations to develop and recommend proposals to mitigate supply and cost risk
* Ensure KPI\u2019s, risks, tradeoffs and decisions/escalations needed are visible. Work with key stakeholders such as Commercial, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Finance and others accordingly
* Provide thought leadership on continuous improvement opportunities that target increasing system and process utilization, efficiencies, and throughput in the division to optimize capacity, minimize cost and best satisfy customer requirements (OTIF)
* Facilitates connecting IBP decisions and plans back to operations, commercial and finance teams as needed to ensure execution
* Support the implementation of new technology implemented as part of WestRock\u2019s transformation efforts
* Run optimization modeling for manufacturing facilities based on operational metrics
* Provide analytical support for the overall operational processes
* Design, maintain and improve Business Intelligence applications
* Conduct training on metrics, reporting and business intelligence tools
Required Experience:
* Solid understanding of Corrugated Box Plant operations across order management, design specifications, production planning, corrugator, converting and shipping
* Analytical and able to logically processes information to produce insights in a consumable format; aggregates, cleanses, and disseminates data in structured formats to support better business decisions and improved performance
* Process oriented - Plans, designs, manages processes while focusing on refining and improving to increase efficiency and effectiveness; understands process inputs, activities, outputs, roles and sequencing
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
* Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and attention to details
* Experience with advanced planning software is strongly preferred (o9); ideally through implementation of new tools
* Experience with Kiwiplan strongly preferred
* Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel
* Basic understanding of current Business Intelligence tools (Qlik, PowerBI, etc)
* Minimum 5+ years of supply chain, analytics or related experience
* Demonstrated ability to present, influence and communicate with Senior Leadership
Education:
* BS in engineering, supply chain management, general business administration, operations, or similar fields, or equivalent experience
* Moderate business travel, 25%
