Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Developer Intern to join our engineering team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience building and maintaining software applications, writing clean code, participating in code reviews, and working closely with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and contribute to meaningful projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with software engineers and product to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in [languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, .Net etc.].
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues; implement fixes and enhancements.
• Assist with writing documentation for new and existing features.
• Work with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Follow coding standards and software development best practices.
• Contribute ideas to improve products, processes, and team efficiency.

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• Must be a current student/enrolled at RIT.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for learning new technologies and writing great software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles, DevOps, learning & deploying AI skills (prompt engineering, ai assistants, etc.)
• Some experience with front-end or back-end development (e.g., React, Node.js, Flask, etc.) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and API development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a bonus.
