Role Summary
Under the direction of the director, provides day-to-day management of the Emergency Center. Qualifications include current NC or multistate RN licensure, Bachelors degree in nursing required, Masters degree in nursing preferred. Three to five years EC experience required, two to three years leadership experience preferred. BLS & ACLS required.
Essential Functions:
+ Leadership & Staff Management
+ Supervise, mentor, and evaluate ED nursing staff and support personnel.
+ Coordinate staffing schedules, manage time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
+ Clinical Oversight
+ Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Monitor patient care delivery and intervene as needed to support optimal outcomes.
+ Participate in emergency response planning and execution.
+ Operational Management
+ Oversee daily operations of the ED, including patient flow, triage, and throughput.
+ Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership to resolve operational challenges.
+ Manage departmental budgets, supply inventory, and resource allocation.
+ Quality & Compliance
+ Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Ensure adherence to Joint Commission, CMS, and state/federal regulations.
+ Investigate and resolve patient complaints and incidents.
+ Education & Development
+ Identify training needs and coordinate continuing education for staff.
+ Support onboarding and orientation of new hires.
+ Promote evidence-based practice and professional development.

Qualifications and Skills
Education Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
+ Master Degree in nursing preferred.
Experience Required:
+ 3-5 years of Emergency Nursing experience
+ 2 years of leadership experienced, preferred
Skills:
+ Strong Leadership, communication and organizational skills
+ Ability to manager high- stress situations and make critical decisions
+ Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
