    Employment Type: Full-time

     

    Shift: Day/Rotating & Weekends

     

    Hours Per Week: 36-hour/week

     

    Hiring Range: $17.51 - $21.82

     

    The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitors patients to ensure safety from falls or self-harm with attention to the maximum comfort and satisfaction of patients. Provides for patient safety through appropriate prevention measures (direct visualization/constant observation &/or suicide precautions &/or fall precautions.)

    • Individualize services based on physical/developmental attributes while maintaining an environment conducive to meeting safety needs. Engages patient in diversion activities as appropriate.

    • Encourages patient interaction and stimulation.

    • Customize approach based on each patient's individual physical and developmental needs.

    • Create an environment conducive to meeting patient safety requirements.

    • Assist with safe patient ambulation as directed by nursing staff.

    • Support patients with meals and proper nutrition.

    • Collaborate with the nursing team to assist with daily hygiene and comfort needs.

    • Observe and immediately report any patient status changes or safety concerns to the care team.

    • Communicate professionally with patients' family members, addressing questions appropriately.

    • Document observations according to hospital policies and procedures.

    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital protocols.

    Education:

    High school diploma or GED required · Previous healthcare experience preferred

     

    Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.

     

    Certifications / Licensure · Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of the hire date required.
