This vacancy is located at the Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe, Louisiana.
The Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) serves youth who have been adjudicated delinquent or Families in Need of Services (FINS). We are responsible for youth assigned to our care by the court system, either for supervision or custody in residential placement or secure care. OJJ also provides services to youth under local court

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:
A master's degree in social work followed by five years of social services experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Coordinates the supervision of numerous professional and subordinate social workers through various supervisory levels.
+ Reviews cases with subordinate supervisors and assists and guides them in the teaching of advanced techniques and in developing the skills in specialized intervention methodologies.
+ Monitors productivity and quality of service through subordinate social worker supervisors and/or through professional social service personnel.
+ Serves as management participant on departmental committees and represents the social work programs on multidisciplinary committees.
+ Acts as consultant on social work matters to other professionals, administrators, psychologists, occupational therapist, medical director, residential care, and training directors.
+ Assesses and evaluates social work program effectiveness through quality control activities and statistical analysis.
+ Provides expert testimony and advocacy representation on behalf of clients in court cases.
+ May provide LCSW supervision to candidates for professional social work certification.
+ May provide limited direct casework services to a select group of highly complex cases.
