About this Job
LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services is seeking highly skilled and motivated applicants for the position of Custodian Manager. The qualified applicant must possess the ability to manage a variety of building service operations while maintaining the appearance, cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the Campus buildings by direct instructions to subordinates.
Starting rate of pay for this position is $21.05 per hour, may be adjusted dependent upon applicants’ qualifications. There is also an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
+ Manages the cleaning of campus buildings through subordinate supervisors and by direct instruction
+ Accompanies subordinate supervisors in conducting inspections and also solely conducts
+ Assists subordinate supervisors and directly deals with: a) discipline; b) leave requests; c) hiring; d) terminations; e) counseling for both outstanding and poor job performance; f) performance reviews; g) motivation; h) training; i) communication verbally and in writing upward and downward
+ Supervises management of Housekeeping Storeroom
+ Plans, gives instructions on and inspects the completion of: a) special set-up requests; b) graduations; c) providing manpower during events; d) clean up after events
+ Payroll system daily review; b) personnel records; c) research and compiles reports relating to operations within building services and makes recommendations to Manager of Operations
+ Supervises equipment maintenance
+ Assists other departments as needed; b) responds to campus emergencies; c) works overtime for special projects; d) work orders

+ This is a Civil Service Position. This position does not require applicants to take a Civil Service test.
