Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Job Description
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for managing the order process, including filing, receiving inventory, preparing, and shipping orders. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
+ Exhibit, recruit, and coach associates consistent with Core Behaviors.
+ Promote a culture of safety within the warehouse.
+ Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips.
+ Sort, maintain, and stage products accurately.
+ Reject damaged goods and forward them to Purchasing for processing.
+ Properly label and place stock after putting it away.
+ Receive purchase orders, pick products, and package items for shipment, ensuring quantities, destinations, and routing are correct.
+ Log non-conforming products and verify returned goods.
+ Conduct cycle counts of inventory and work with the Purchasing department to correct discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate records and a clean, organized workspace.
+ Perform technical tasks using trade or computer hardware and software, including spreadsheets, databases, and data processing.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Ensure all work is performed in accordance with ISO processes and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with basic computer operations and specific software (P21, Clippership, World Ship).
+ Strong basic mathematical skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Outstanding customer service skills.
+ Punctuality and a sense of urgency.
+ Proficiency in following ISO procedures.
+ Basic product knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ At least one year of previous experience required.
+ Up to two years of experience in a similar position preferred, including inventory and receiving experience.
+ Forklift certification and proficiency in loading, unloading, warehouse inventory, shipping & receiving, packing, and heavy lifting.

Work Environment
The work environment requires regular communication in English and involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects or controls. Employees use computers and other equipment in slightly dirty conditions with occasional exposure to elements. Work is generally performed during traditional hours, Monday through Friday. The role involves frequently lifting and moving up to 75 pounds, requiring specific vision abilities, including close vision. Personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection with a metatarsal guard is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
