Job Title: CAD Drafter/System Operator

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to collaborate with the sales and production teams to produce accurate and precise drawings that will serve as blueprints for manufacturing products. You will be required to meet drafting and take-off demands to keep up with sales, create clear, complete, and accurate drawings for customers, and facilitate efficient job progression through load sheets, production drawings, and install drawings.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with sales and production teams to produce accurate drawings.

+ Create clear, complete, and accurate drawings for customers.

+ Develop load sheets, production drawings, and install drawings based on approved designs.

+ Coordinate with the production and installation teams during the drawing process.

+ Assist the sales team with take-offs for quoting.

+ Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic files, databases, and documentation related to design projects.

+ Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.

+ Communicate with the Plant Manager to identify job layout patterns and panel locations.

+ Stay updated with the latest industry standards, understanding industry and build standards and specifications.

+ Communicate effectively with team members via phone, email, and in person.

+ Ensure all programs stay updated and troubleshoot any design issues.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD or related software.

+ Experience in mechanical, civil, or CAD drafting.

+ Knowledge of blueprint design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in residential drawings preferred.

Work Environment

The role is primarily in-office, requiring collaboration with the production team and flexibility within a team environment. Conditions in the shop may vary, being hot in summer and cold in winter.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
