Position Overview:
The Health & Welfare Analyst II is a critical contributor to our Health and Welfare Benefits team, helping administer health benefits for 60,000+ participants. This role involves performing a variety of standard to moderately complex professional and technical duties, focusing on benefit system design, administration, and system management, while managing and reviewing issues and cases from initiation to closure.
A successful candidate will possess a strong background in Workday integrations specifically for benefits, coordinating closely with the HRIS team to update system data and ensure accurate employee information. Expertise in overall benefit administration and managing relationships with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) is paramount; you'll coordinate with TPAs for health plan setup, resolve data issues, audit rates, and collaborate on system configurations and corrections.
You will be tasked with updating and maintaining plan design documents (including pricing), developing and reviewing various reports, and meticulously analyzing data, requiring advanced quantitative analysis skills in Excel. This includes testing programming and configurations in the enrollment system and assisting with open enrollment communications and training.
A comprehensive knowledge of benefits compliance is vital to ensure all plans and processes adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, mitigating financial risk and liability. This position partners closely with various departments and teams, including Workforce Labor Relations, Payroll, AP, Developers, Compensation, Retirement, and HR Partners. Importantly, this role creates a partnership with the Health & Welfare Consultant team, to support the ongoing benefit strategy for the organization. You'll also assist with gathering information for labor negotiations.

EDUCATION:
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ Associate's in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the specific human resources function.
+ Knowledge of principles and practices specific to the assigned human resources function.
+ Broad knowledge of the assigned human resources program.
+ Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements.
+ Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
+ Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to recognize to recognize, research and draw valid conclusions.
+ Ability to compute and apply basic mathematical functions and computations, including calculating percentages and prorated amounts.
+ Organization skills and attention to details.
+ Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely.
+ Ability to communicate through verbal and written means with tact and diplomacy.
+ Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
+ Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of role’s duties.

Pay Range is $44.28 to $66.42 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
