    The Director, Microsoft Corporation Stakeholders Voluntary Political Action Committee (MSVPAC) holds a significant role within Microsoft's U.S. Government Affairs team, which is part of the Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization. This role entails helping to shape the strategic direction of Microsoft's Political Action Committee (PAC) and linking corporate priorities with political initiatives.

     

    The Director, MSVPAC manages the strategic, operational, and day-to-day functions of Microsoft's Political Action Committee. This role includes creating strategies to grow and sustain PAC membership, building relationships to boost member engagement, and ensuring that MSVPAC activities align with Microsoft's corporate goals. It requires a deep understanding of federal legislative and political processes, which must be clearly communicated to both existing and prospective PAC members.

     

    This role can be based in our Redmond, WA or Washington D.C. office.

    Responsibilities

    + Developing strategies to grow PAC membership through recruitment, marketing, and engagement activities.

    + Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local laws, and internal policies related to PAC contributions and reporting.

    + Managing fundraising campaigns and events, involving executives and employees in political and PAC-related initiatives.

    + Collaborating with the U.S. Government Affairs team to align state and federal programs.

    + Working with internal stakeholders to align MSVPAC initiatives with Microsoft's business goals and resources.

    + Help develop membership benefits and campaigns to boost engagement.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Technology, Law, Liberal Arts, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years work experience in government affairs, corporate affairs, campaign, fundraising, PAC, or related area OR equivalent experience.

    + 5+ years in political fundraising, PAC management, or grassroots activities.

    + 5+ years of experience with federal or state political/campaign work.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Possess a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft’s strategic objectives and the broader technological, political, policy, and industry landscape.

    + Strategic thinking and problem-solving.

    + Interpersonal and collaborative abilities.

    + Responsive and action-oriented across teams.

    + Goal-setting and influence to achieve objectives.

    + Knowledge of political contribution regulations and reporting.

    + Diplomacy skills with executives and officials.

    + High ethical standards and integrity.

    + Proficiency in data management and attention to detail.

     

    Government Affairs IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $132,200 - $258,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,800 - $278,900 per year.
