DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and develop Java based full stack web application to support single sign on project. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservices architecture based application. Identifying and troubleshooting application code-related issues. Provide support for production issues and regular deployments. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Web Application Developer, Project Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Web Application Developer, Project Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing applications using Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycle process to create software; Working in an environment with Application, Data and infrastructure Architecture disciplines; Developing J2EE applications using Spring, Hibernate, Java, HTML, and JavaScript; Designing microservices applications using REST and SOAP based web service API, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC and ORM technology; Developing client binary application written in C++, C#, .NET framework, .NET core, HTML, CSS, SQL, and XML technologies; Deploying the applications into Apache Tomcat and WebSphere with features including continuous integration and continuous deployment using Shell Scripting; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language including SQL on databases such as Oracle; Manual Testing; Regression Testing; Smoke Testing; Unit Testing; User Acceptance Testing, Performance test tools, investigation, and resolution; Supporting the applications for 24X7 support using Splunk, Shell scripting, and Unix commands; and Managing Configuration and DevOps with automation tools including JIRA, Maven, Git and Bitbucket.
