JOB SUMMARY
The Manager - Maintenance (MI) directs the overall operation of maintenance and safety/security departments assuring compliance with all hospital, local, state, and federal regulatory standards. Interacts professionally and collaborates with system management team to create positive and effective working relationships where safe quality health care can be delivered.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._
**Minimum Required:** None
**Preferred/Optional:** Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in engineering.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
**Minimum Required:** Three years’ experience in maintenance including some supervisory experience preferably in a medical facility. Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance including plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, painting, carpentry, grounds maintenance, and the operation of mechanical equipment.
**Preferred/Optional:** Experience with Building Automated Control Systems, DDC Systems to include HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronics. Knowledge in regulatory authorities such as OSHA, SACHO, DHS, HCFA, ADA, WI Department Commercial Building Codes. Demonstrated experience Word, Excel, and Access.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

**Minimum Required:** None
**Preferred/Optional:** Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification awarded by the
American Hospital Association.
